Overcoming Difficulties
"How is it that some people do, so much that they do ?"
Often times, many people seem to have a control over their lifes - something I myself cannot have. They seem to be disciplined, fine tuned and nothing, not even the direst of news can shake them. They are what one could speak as modern day warriors. These people have high dreams and even higher desire to work for them. They are inspirational and societal assets. The same applies in a students life too. There is just too much to balance - social life, academics, competitive exams, extra-curriculars and in combination with the torrential teenage thoughts - that's the road to "give up" alley.
In this post, I will try to analyze a few problems and share with all the readers out there the solutions I think that have worked out for me(though, I am not able to follow them for more than a couple of days).
First and foremost, you must have a dream. No; I am not talking about the dream of fighting an alien invasion and saving the planet, or roaming the world around with someone. I am talking about something you wish to achieve in life. And NO, to all the Indian students - the options are not just Engineering and Medicine. Commerce and arts are too equally respectable fields. But one thing that stand out in all is - you have to work. At the end of the work, success is proportional to the effort you put in. Without a dream - a human being is life a lazy dog loitering around, wasting ones potential and caliber. But with a dream, you get a vision that enables you to change your life towards your goal. So, understand your dream fast.
Secondly. learn to face pain. To all those people who look down on the word of "discipline", you are wrong. Whether it be the 21est century or the 19th century - hard work beats talent any day and obsession beats hard-work. So learn to get the hell out of your comfort zone, it rusts your body and mind. Quoting a famous movie - "A good warrior must learn the simple truth, pain is inevitable suffering is optional". You choose if you wanna put in effort now, or regret later. But remember that, the pain of regret kills one from within, ones engulfed - it is difficult to get out of it. Make sure to have a goal oriented approach always.
Distractions. YouTube, Instagram, Threads, Tumblr, WhatPad...what not. These social media sites are great, if they are used only for "social media"-and not for the endless scrolling of utterly wasteful content. Learn to minimize its usages and reduce the entry of unwanted information in your brains. You cant fill a filled cup with more water - you cannot insert more information in a mind already filled wtih these.
I'm possible. Ahh, ever heard people say - "blah, you cant study this in one day, its impossible", or "you cant win this competition, its impossible". Well, not exactly the words, but you get what I mean. Here is a thought ever heard of winners say this ? The people who say this, are the same people who ail to dream high, the same people to refuse to get out of your comfort zone. No!! No sir, I refuse to believe anything is impossible. With the right effort, given the right amount of time - everything is possible. So, you ever feel let down - "oh this is too hard" - stop thinking and start doing.
Work hard, dream big. Wake up at 5 - sleep at 11. The ideal schedule of a grinding student looks something like this. And between it, no time for anime, webseries's and even meet ups. Work till you make it.
Thats it people, these are the things I believe will help both you and me as of right now. So lets keep hustling for our futures !!
