A Candle
Perhaps the candle by the garden wall,
is a bit jealous of all those LED tubes
powered by the modern age and with better hues.
The candle itself, withering time to time
awaiting it's death for soon to come.
No one seemed to care, even when it's fire went out,
What was to happen to a petty candle, no one thought about.
There was an another thing too, that the candle thought,
The others were together, while he was not.
Forced to darkness of the night, forced to be there without light,
The candle, oh dear, was sad and with fright
- much like people afraid of the night
The candle, oh dear, had no friends in near sight
