A Writers Life: My Thoughts

A writer takes shelter in his words, perhaps much more than the people of the world. The world may be cruel to him, but his words always speak the truth. It is always my firm belief that words were meant to be. They are part of the cosmic language, the other two being music and mathematics. These friendly little characters hold more power than anything else. They are able to manipulate, make someone cry and even make them at their happiest. But how do these thoughts arise ? What inspires us, writers to write ?

Writers are very often philosophers, driving their minds to the chasms of overthinking - looking around at every detail. Sometimes, even the flutter of a butterfly, the way the birds chirp and even a simple smile can bring out an entire story. This is why Valmiki was the greater writer ever. From the sight of a dying bird couple, the entire Ramayanam was scripted, whose infamous metaphors need no introduction.

Often at times, writers tend to break down-their emotions overplaying their prudence. And this creates a war between the mind and the heart, a war to be fought alone. During such times, one does not writer, nor open up much, but confines himself to solitude. He/She bottles up his/her thoughts and eventually it all bursts of. All those unsaid words, emotions never expressed before accompanied by a torrent of  angry hits them. And this is a "writers-break". All writers much go through this face. It transforms their life and their thoughts. It refines their style and gives them their uniqueness.

This is what makes writing so amiable, it teaches. Observing, thinking and then penning down your thoughts with the malicious words that are made. Reading others emotions from nothing but a parchment and being able to write down your own. It is like conversing with ones own soul, something that never judges. It is therapy, one which everyone can undertake. The beauty of which you have to experience yourself.

So, packing it up, what inspires us, writers ? Everything, from he tiniest of ants to our own thoughts. From a melancholy day to a joyous week. From being with your friends to watching a movie you like. Everything has its own story to say, only if you pay heed to them. I am not a good writer, it is just that everything around me has a great story.

"As the quill glides,
with words of such might
it sheds light,
on the rain outside
what the drizzle wanted to hide
the words brought them to light
writing a story of their life"
Thank You😁
